One of my all-time favourite things do to with autumn leaves is make a tea light holder.
You will need:
Clean glass jar
Lots of leaves of all different colours
Press the leaves flat the night before you do this as it makes it much easier for little hands!
Once you have lots of flat leaves you will want to stick them on to the glass jar using the modge podge. Dont worry about how much you apply, the more the better and it dries clear. Once the jar is covered with leaves you can leave to dry. Once dry pop a tea light in it and admire the beautiful autumn colours! This makes a great present too!

Gather up lots of different shaped leaves. This is a fun activity in itself as you can go to your local park or wood and collect lots of leaves together.
Stick the leaves on to some paper with blue tack. Leave lots of space between the leaves.
Get some sponges and dip them in paint and then sponge around the leaves, lots of different colours works really well!
Once the paint has dried carefully peal of the leaves and you are left with lots of colourful outlines of beautiful leaves!
Make spicy play dough!
I love home-made play dough!
2 cups plain flour (all purpose)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup salt
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
Up to 1.5 cups boiling water (adding in increments until it feels just right)
food colouring (optional)
few drops glycerine (optional- adds more shine!)
To make special autumn play dough I added orange food colouring and pumpkin spice! You could even add some plastic spiders in there for spooky Halloween play dough!
For all your fabulous messy play days we have some fantastic messy aprons to keep your little one dry and clean. They all fit from 6months up to 4 years old and are super easy to take on and off and you can even machine wash them! You can find them here:
