According to the BBC the UK has seen a 22% increase in babies being born in ten years. In 2001, the number of live births stood at 594,634, while 2011 the number had risen to 723,913. Boys slightly outnumbered girls, There were 11,330 sets of twins , 172 sets of triplets and 3 sets of quads (or more), hats off to those mums.Despite this the UK fertility rates remain low, meaning that the population of the UK is set for a gradual decline.
